Alaska Aircraft Appraisers can definitely help you win your case when fair market values of aircraft are at question. Whether you are dealing with a divorce case, an insurance dispute, or an IRS audit, we can greatly increase your odds of winning your case. Since 1980, NAAA Certified Appraisal Reports have been used in hundreds of legal proceedings. In cases that used NAAA Certified Reports to determine the fair market value of an aircraft, the success rate is greater than 99%.

For example, let's say that you are representing a client in a domestic civil case involving the fair market value of an aircraft and that you are in a pre-trial meeting with the opposing council. There is a disagreement concerning the value of the aircraft. The opposing council, speaking with high authority, claims a very high value of the aircraft.  He/She then produces a report from a well known blue book publication backing up his claim.

At this time, you confidently produce your  NAAA Certified Appraisal of the aircraft in question that paints a very different picture. For instance, the opposing attorney's blue book report did not show how damage to the wing diminished the value of the aircraft, nor did it show that the logbooks were missing. Also, it did not take into account the poor condition of the airframe or the diminished market value of the now obsolete floats and radios. The opposing attorney is astonished when he looks over the 14 page certified report. The Certified Appraisal calculation page clearly documents the diminished value of the aircraft, something that a blue book value could never do. You also let the opposing council know that you have an expert witness willing to testify about the shortcomings of blue book values and how those figures were miscalculated. A certified appraisal that is based on a physical, on-site examination of the aircraft in question, will blow them out of the sky every time!

Since 1980, NAAA appraisers have helped Attorneys, Law Firms, and Insurance Companies across the country establish the fair market value of all types of aircraft and helicopters. The certified appraisal process goes well beyond the shallow reports produced by blue books and online market analysis. A Certified Appraisal will give you the extra documentation that you need to win your case or settle your dispute. Beware: sometimes appraisers pass themselves off to be NAAA appraisers, when, in fact, they have never been a member nor have they ever had training by the National Aircraft Appraisers Association.  Don't put yourself in this very awkward postion. Alaska Aircraft Appraisals uses only NAAA Certified Appraisers who are in good standing with the Association and meet all of their strict qualifications.
